First Lady to be Awarded Honorary Doctorate at TASUED

The Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has announced that the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun; and former governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba, will receive honorary Doctor of Science degrees at its 17th convocation ceremony scheduled for January 29, 2026.

According to the university, Senator Tinubu will be honoured with a Doctor of Science in Childhood Education for her philanthropy and long-standing advocacy for women, children, education, and healthcare. Governor Abiodun will receive a Doctor of Science in Education Management in recognition of his leadership, governance reforms, and contributions to education and development in Ogun State. Former governor Osoba will be awarded a Doctor of Science in Political Science for his distinguished public service, role in Nigeria’s democratic struggle, and contribution to the establishment of TASUED as a degree-awarding institution
