“Traditional Rulers will support Olubadan” : Oba Alao
The Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, has assured Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, that traditional rulers in the state will support the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, as chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs.
Speaking while receiving the governor at his palace, Oba Alao said members of the council are united across the five zones of the state and fully back the re-inaugurated council under Oba Ladoja’s leadership.
Governor Makinde, in his response, reiterated his administration’s commitment to inclusive development across Oyo State and called for the cooperation of traditional institutions. The council was re-inaugurated after 15 years of litigation, with Oba Ladoja set to serve a two-year tenure as chairman
