2019 Presidency: ‘Field Me As Consensus Candidate’ Okotie Tells PDP, APC

Nigerian Pentecostal Evangelist and pastor in charge of Household of God Church International Ministries Christopher Oghenebrorie Okotie has asked the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to adopt him as consensus candidate for the 2019 presidential election.

The General Overseer stated this during a service at his church on Sunday that God had asked him to tell the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to adopt him as consensus candidate in 2019.

Prior to that, the cleric already wrote a letter to formerly declare his intention to the chairmanship of the PDP and APC, Prince Uche Secondus and Adams Oshiomole respectively, requesting for an adoption, a proposition for support for government of national reconciliation and reconstruction.
According to information, he noted that Nigeria is a crying nation that needs liberation. The solution to Nigeria’s problem does not lie on APC or PDP, adding, “This is the beginning of the (complete) turnaround of our nation”

Excerpts from his letter to PDP:

In sincere humility and deference to our democratic institutions, I appeal to the PDP to subscribe to this ideal by adopting me as a consensus presidential candidate at the next elections.
I ask the APC and PDP, respectfully, within the confines of conventional propriety, to temporize and observe a peaceful hiatus in the commonality of the Nigerian brotherhood, and embrace me as a consensus remedial facilitator.
This of course is tantamount to a paradigm shift and the only way forward. I have extended the same overtures to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
There is an intrinsic silence embedded in our national psyche which must now be summoned to strengthen the feeble hands of discouragement and reignite hope in the Nigerian fraternity. This is our reasonable service. This is the season. This is the time to demonstrate our love for Nigeria, Indeed, love is conterminous with sacrifice.

In sincere humility and deference to our democratic institutions, I appeal to the APC and PDP to subscribe to this ideal by adopting me as a consensus presidential candidate at the next elections.

I ask the APC and PDP, respectfully, within the confines of conventional propriety, to temporise and observe a peaceful hiatus in the commonality of the Nigerian brotherhood, and embrace me as a consensus remedial facilitator,” Okotie said. (from dailypost)
