Amaraizu said the suspect will be paraded alongside other suspects today, adding that the other two were responsible for shooting the priest and using his ATM card for withdrawals.

The late priest was abducted in his Parish at Saint Mark Catholic Church, Obinofia Ndiuno in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State on March 13, 2019, at about 9 p.m shortly after he returned from a meeting.

After some days, they were said to have used the priest’s Automated Teller Machine card to make withdrawals from his account.

Efforts geared at rescuing the priest failed as search parties was initiated by his parishioners in collaboration with the community and a week after his abduction, the body of Father Ugwu was found decomposing in a bush.
