I Don’t Mind My Songs Played At Night Clubs, Says Gospel Artiste

Nigerian Famous Gospel artiste, Osinachi Kalu, popularly known as Sinach, has said she wouldn’t mind her songs being played at night clubs across the world as long as people get the message and their lives are transformed for good.

According to Najia Churchnews, the singer revealed this information in a chat with Sunday Punch where she spoke about her career as a gospel singer, the challenges and prospects.

She said she didn’t think singing was a career nor did she start with a branded identity. To her, becoming a famous singer was simply the grace of God.

Sinach said that she had no problem with her songs being played at a night club as long as people get the message. She narrated an incident saying “a friend sent me a video of my song being played at a club. I noted from the reaction that they were singing along as they listened to the music. When you produce the right music with the right lyrics, people will look for it. Everyone needs encouragement, love and inspiration. My music is powerful and when people listen to my music, they will get inspired.”

She recounted the genesis of her career as she said, “I have been singing in the church since 1989, though it started as a hobby. I initially planned to leave the country after studying Physics at the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, but Pastor Chris Oyakhilome invited me to serve in the ministry. But for him, I might not have discovered my gift. Also, serving in the church has given me a solid foundation that helps me stand strong.”

The Gospel singer advised young artistes to always remember that they are Christians first and artistes second, encouraging them to be strong members of their churches to enable them stay discipline and receive grace for their call.
