Attimes from misunderstanding, unfaithfulness and even incompatibility.This was the fate of Jennifer Lopez, an American actress and singer and Ben Affleck, an American actor and filmmaker. On Tuesday 20th of August, it was reported that the American idol divorced her husband, Mr. Ben Affleck in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.They had just been married for two years, and report shows that that same day ought to be their second year wedding anniversary. This is heartbreaking as it is Lopez’s fourth failed marriage and Ben’s second failed marriage. The 55-year-old woman is blessed with a set of twins, Emme and Max, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Mr. Ben Affleck, on the other hand, has 3 children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, namely: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
However, what the fans want to know is what really happened? A source reveals that Lopez “tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken. The kids are a top priority, as they always have been”. The news on their separation caught everyone by surprise because Lopez and Affleck rekindled their relationship in April 2021, after 20 years of being apart. What went wrong is a question only Lopez, who filed for the divorce, can answer. Report shows that she filed for the divorce on her own, without an attorney or legal representation, stating the separation date as April 26, 2024, approximately four months ago. Till now, Lopez and Ben are yet to make any official statement. But whatever her reasons may be, we all know that none of this is easy for her, as she was still recently spotted with her wedding ring on. Another source reports that “She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage. He hasn’t shown any commitment and interest in making their marriage work. It’s gotten to the point that she just needs to look out for herself”.
